Contents

The best NFT news sites in 2027 are nft now, Decrypt, CoinDesk, Cointelegraph, and NFT Culture, followed by a second tier of NFT-first outlets that have widened into general crypto coverage. That last part matters. Most lists of NFT news sites were written in 2022 and never revisited, so they still send readers to publications that have changed focus, slowed down, or stopped loading.

We rebuilt this list from scratch in October 2026. Every site below was opened and checked for three things: is it still publishing, is it still covering NFTs, and is it useful to either a collector trying to stay informed or a founder trying to get a project covered. Coinbound has run PR and earned media for crypto and NFT brands since 2018, across 900+ clients including Gala, Sui, and Immutable, so the second question is one we deal with every week.

What Changed: Why Old Lists of NFT News Sites Are Unreliable

NFT media followed the market. When trading volume and venture money left the category, the publications built around it had three options: broaden, shrink, or close. You can see all three on the sites that used to top these lists.

  • nft now rebranded its parent company. The homepage now leads with "Introducing Now Media: The Voice of Digital Culture", a relaunch with a new site, curated newsletters, and AI powered tools. nft now still covers NFTs, but as one part of digital culture.
  • NFT Evening and NFT Plazas became crypto news sites. NFT Evening now titles itself "Bitcoin, Ethereum, NFT, Crypto News and Data". NFT Plazas uses "Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, Crypto News and More". When we checked both homepages, the lead stories were about Bitcoin, stablecoins, and exchange listings.
  • Some outlets went quiet. A few sites that were daily reads in 2022 now publish rarely, and at least one that appeared on the previous version of this page would not load at all when we tested it.
  • Mainstream crypto newsrooms kept their NFT desks. Decrypt, CoinDesk, and Cointelegraph all still maintain a dedicated NFT section or tag, and those pages are now where most breaking NFT news appears first.

The stories themselves have changed too. Recent NFT headlines are less about mints and more about consolidation: Decrypt reported that NFL All Day stopped issuing NFTs and that Magic Eden pulled Bitcoin and Ethereum support to double down on Solana, CoinDesk covered one of the oldest NFT trading platforms shutting down, and Cointelegraph wrote up the end of Porsche's Web3 project. On the other side, the same outlets covered Pudgy Penguins taking over the Las Vegas Sphere and Beeple bringing his work to a physical gallery. The NFT news that gets written in 2027 is about brands, intellectual property, and survivors.

The practical takeaway: judge an NFT news site by what it published this month, not by the name in its logo.

The 13 Best NFT News Sites in 2027

1. nft now (Now Media)

nft now remains the most recognizable name in NFT media. Its top stories when we checked included a feature on the attempt to revive Moonbirds, an interview with the founder of NFC Summit Lisbon, and an analysis of a $20 million CryptoPunks sale. That mix tells you what the publication is for: context and culture, not price alerts.

  • Best for: collectors, artists, and brand teams who want features and interviews.
  • Formats: articles, newsletters, and a large library of podcasts and video conversations.
  • Good to know: the company now operates as Now Media, with nft now as its flagship publication.

2. Decrypt

Decrypt's NFT section is the most consistent source of daily NFT reporting from a mainstream crypto newsroom. Recent coverage includes the Magic Eden listing exploit, Yuga Labs rescuing Ethereum NFTs, and Dapper Labs winding down NFL All Day issuance. Decrypt writes for a general audience, so articles explain the background instead of assuming it.

  • Best for: staying current in ten minutes a day.
  • Formats: news, explainers, and gaming coverage.
  • Good to know: Decrypt covers consumer brands and gaming heavily, which makes it a strong target for projects with a mainstream angle.

3. CoinDesk

CoinDesk's NFT tag is where the market-moving stories land: large sales, treasury purchases, platform shutdowns, and institutional moves. One example is its report of a whale spending $4.3 million on CryptoPunks as NFT market cap climbed 66% in 30 days. If a story affects prices or involves a public company, CoinDesk usually has it.

  • Best for: investors and anyone tracking the financial side of NFTs.
  • Formats: news, markets coverage, and opinion.
  • Good to know: the bar for coverage is high. Announcements without a number or a known name rarely make it.

4. Cointelegraph

Cointelegraph's NFT tag leans toward brand, legal, and enterprise stories, alongside security incidents such as the Magic Eden whitehat rescue of 3,832 NFTs. It also publishes introductory guides, which makes the tag page a reasonable starting point for someone new to the category.

  • Best for: brand NFT programs, regulation, and security news.
  • Formats: news, features, and learn content.
  • Good to know: Cointelegraph publishes in multiple languages, so coverage can travel beyond English-speaking audiences.

5. NFT Culture

NFT Culture is one of the few NFT-first publications still writing about NFTs as its main subject. It describes itself as the intersection of NFT artists, collectors, and marketplaces. Recent pieces include a look at the Azuki trading card game, a breakdown of an NFT project on Robinhood, and a farewell to Nifty Gateway.

  • Best for: artist spotlights and project-level analysis.
  • Formats: articles, spotlights, and a Hall of Fame section.
  • Good to know: this is the closest thing left to the 2021-era NFT blog, written by people who collect.

6. NFT Evening

NFT Evening built its audience on NFT drops and calendars. Today it positions itself around digital culture more broadly, covering NFTs, crypto art, blockchain games, AI, and the metaverse, and its homepage is dominated by general crypto market news.

  • Best for: readers who want one site for crypto headlines with some NFT coverage.
  • Formats: news, guides, and data pages.
  • Good to know: expect more Bitcoin and exchange stories than NFT stories on any given day.

7. NFT Plazas

NFT Plazas has made the same move. Its news feed now covers Bitcoin, ETFs, and stablecoin policy, while its Learn section still publishes NFT-relevant explainers, including a recent guide to a SuperRare token-gated launch. Its X account remains one of the more visible results for NFT news searches.

  • Best for: explainers on new tokens and launches.
  • Formats: news and Learn guides.
  • Good to know: NFT content now lives mostly in guides, not the daily news feed.

8. The Crypto Times

The Crypto Times keeps a dedicated NFT news category that was updated the week we checked. Coverage is straightforward news reporting: exploits, notable sales, marketplace token updates, and artist stories.

  • Best for: a clean, chronological NFT news feed.
  • Formats: short news articles.
  • Good to know: a useful secondary source when you want a second write-up of a breaking story.

9. NFT News Today

NFT News Today covers CryptoArt, gaming, the metaverse, and Web3, and was still publishing through the summer of 2026. It is smaller than the newsrooms above, which also makes it more open to emerging projects.

  • Best for: gaming and metaverse project news.
  • Formats: news and top stories.
  • Good to know: a realistic first target for new collections that are not yet on the radar of larger outlets.

10. NFTgators

NFTgators organizes its coverage into Web3 news, on-chain analysis, NFT news, metaverse news, and blockchain games. It has historically been strong on funding rounds and startup stories.

  • Best for: Web3 startup and funding coverage.
  • Formats: news and on-chain analysis.
  • Good to know: the most recent dates visible on its homepage when we checked were from January 2026, so confirm it is active before you build a pitch around it.

11. Bankless NFT News Flash

NFT News Flash from Bankless is a roundup format: the big picture, top collections by seven-day volume, general news, digital collectibles, cryptoart and music, and decentralized gaming. It is worth reading as much for its structure as its content.

  • Best for: readers who prefer a digest to a feed.
  • Formats: roundup newsletter and archive.
  • Good to know: treat it as an archive and a template. Check the date on the latest edition before relying on it for current news.

12. CryptoSlam

CryptoSlam is not a news site in the editorial sense. It is an NFT data aggregator that ranks collections and collectible sales by volume. We include it because most NFT news stories start with a number, and this is where reporters and collectors go to find it.

  • Best for: verifying sales figures and rankings.
  • Formats: rankings, charts, and collection pages.
  • Good to know: if your project climbs these rankings, that is a ready-made news hook.

13. OpenSea Blog

The OpenSea Blog publishes NFT news, analysis, and guides from the marketplace itself. It is a primary source for product and policy changes that affect creators, and its educational content is useful for onboarding new collectors.

  • Best for: marketplace updates and beginner guides.
  • Formats: articles and guides.
  • Good to know: it is a company blog, so read it for what OpenSea is doing, not for independent coverage of competitors.

How to Choose the Right NFT News Sources

You do not need thirteen tabs open. Pick two or three based on what you actually do.

  • If you collect: nft now for context, NFT Culture for artists and projects, and CryptoSlam to check the numbers behind any claim.
  • If you invest or trade: CoinDesk and Decrypt for news that moves prices, plus The Crypto Times as a second source.
  • If you run an NFT or Web3 gaming project: read the outlets you want to appear in. Decrypt, nft now, and NFT Culture for features, NFT News Today and NFTgators for earlier-stage coverage.
  • If you market for a brand: Cointelegraph and CoinDesk cover enterprise NFT programs, and both are read by the partners and investors you want to reach.

Websites are only one channel. Much of the NFT conversation still happens on X, Telegram, and in inboxes. Our lists of the best NFT Twitter accounts, NFT Telegram groups, crypto newsletters, and NFT calendars cover those. For a wider view of publishers, see our guides to sites like nft now and NFT blogs.

How to Get Your NFT Project Covered by NFT News Sites

This is the question founders ask us most, and the answer changed along with the media. In 2021 a mint date was a story. In 2027 it is not. Editors at the outlets above are covering fewer NFT stories, so each pitch needs a reason to exist beyond the launch.

The approach that works for our clients follows five steps.

  1. Find the angle that is not about the drop. A known brand or artist, a real sales figure, a new use of the technology, a notable investor, or a partnership. Look at the recent headlines above: every one is about a recognizable name or a hard number.
  2. Match the outlet to the story. Pitch culture and art stories to nft now and NFT Culture. Pitch funding and company news to CoinDesk, Decrypt, and NFTgators. Pitch gaming to Decrypt and NFT News Today.
  3. Check the outlet is still covering NFTs. Open its NFT section and look at the last ten stories. If none resemble yours, do not pitch it.
  4. Write a short, factual pitch and a proper release. Three sentences on why it matters, one link to assets, and a release that follows the format editors expect. Our NFT press release guide has a template.
  5. Support earned coverage with distribution. A press release wire will not replace a feature, but it puts your announcement on crypto news sites the same day and gives journalists something to reference.

If you want help with that process, these are the two options we recommend.

  1. Coinbound - Our crypto PR team pitches NFT, gaming, and Web3 stories to the outlets on this list and to mainstream business press. Best when you need features, interviews, and a narrative, not just a posted release.
  2. Mintfunnel - Mintfunnel is a crypto press release distribution platform and ad network. Best when you have an announcement ready and want placement across crypto publications quickly.

How We Evaluated These NFT News Websites

Each site was reviewed in October 2026 against the same criteria.

  • Recency: has the site published NFT coverage in the last few months, based on visible dates.
  • Focus: how much of the current homepage or section is actually about NFTs.
  • Original reporting: whether the outlet breaks or adds to stories, or only rewrites them.
  • Usefulness to projects: whether the outlet covers emerging teams or only established names.

Sites that failed to load, had no visible activity in 2026, or no longer had an NFT section were left out, including some that appeared on the earlier version of this page. We will keep revisiting the list as outlets change.

NFT News Sites FAQs

What is the best NFT news site?

nft now is the best-known NFT-first publication, and Decrypt is the most consistent source of daily NFT reporting from a mainstream crypto newsroom. Most readers are well served by following both, plus CoinDesk for market-moving stories.

Are NFT news sites still active in 2027?

Yes, but fewer than before. Several NFT-first outlets, including NFT Evening and NFT Plazas, now publish mostly general crypto news. Dedicated NFT coverage has concentrated in nft now, NFT Culture, and the NFT sections of Decrypt, CoinDesk, and Cointelegraph.

Where can I find breaking NFT news?

Breaking NFT news usually appears first on X, then on the NFT sections of Decrypt, CoinDesk, and Cointelegraph within hours. For sales data behind a story, check a data aggregator such as CryptoSlam.

Lead with an angle beyond the mint itself, such as a known partner, a real sales figure, or a new use case. Pitch only outlets that recently covered similar stories, send a short factual pitch with a proper press release, and consider a crypto PR agency or a distribution platform to extend reach.

Do NFT news sites accept press releases?

Many crypto and NFT publications run a press release section, usually as paid or sponsored placements that are labeled separately from editorial coverage. A distribution platform such as Mintfunnel handles placement across multiple crypto sites at once.

What is the difference between an NFT news site and an NFT data site?

An NFT news site publishes reporting and analysis written by journalists. An NFT data site, such as CryptoSlam, publishes rankings, sales volume, and collection statistics. Reporters often use data sites as the source for the figures in their stories.

Stay Informed, Then Get Covered

The list of NFT news sites worth reading is shorter than it was, and better for it. Follow two or three outlets that match how you participate in the market, verify numbers at the source, and be skeptical of any list that has not been checked recently.

If you are building in NFTs, gaming, or digital collectibles and want coverage in the publications above, talk to Coinbound or look through our case studies.
